Co-operatives play an important role in our community. New South Wales has one of the largest co-operative sectors in Australia, operating in industries as diverse as publishing, tourism, catering, dairy produce, taxis, housing, recycling and child care. Co-operatives belong to and are run for the benefit of their members.
